Beta Carotene is a compound that gives vivid yellow, orange, and red coloring to vegetables. The body converts Beta Carotene into vitamin A (retinol).

Beta-carotene dry powders are used as provitamin A in solid multivitamin preparations, because no Upper Safe Level for the use of beta-carotene as provitamin A has been established unlike for vitamin A. Beta-Carotene 10% and 20% powder used both as provitamin A and as an active ingredient. It is particularly suitable for use in multivitamin/ mineral tablets and beta-carotene tablets, as well as hard gelatin capsules and sachet formulations due to its excellent bulk density and flow properties.
Food Products: Due to its composition, Beta-Carotene 10% and 20% powders are especially suitable for use in food supplement preparations such as fortified food items, plain tablets, sachets, effervescent tablets, and capsules.
Stability: The product is stabilized with Tocopherol and Sodium ascorbate. The stability of Beta-Carotene 10% and 20% powder is excellent
even in the presence of minerals and other vitamins. The product has a high strength and compactability as well. Little or none of the beta-carotene is expressed during tableting/compression, resulting in good stability of the tablets. 6 Months stability data available.
Storage/Handling: The product is sensitive to oxygen, light, heat, and moisture and should therefore be stored in the tightly sealed original packaging at room temperature in a dry and dark place.
