Mr. Anil Jain began his business journey at the age of 16. As a student, he started working on a commission basis for a local printing press. During his B.Com. years at Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai, he set up a video cassette lending library in Malad with a loan of Rs. 17,000 from his father.
Inspired by his uncle’s similar venture in Kota, Anil created Malad’s first video library, called Manoranjan Video Library. Although it closed later due to the rise of cable TV, this venture gave him hands-on business experience.
He was also an active member of the Malad East Leo Club, organising quiz contests and funfairs across colleges in Mumbai. These experiences shaped his leadership and communication skills from a young age.
From a determined Chartered Accountant to a healthcare visionary, this is the story of Mr. Anil Jain.
Soon after, a neighbour offered a 30% partnership in SAN International. This taught Anil core principles of trading, customer handling, and finance management.
He built a reputation by visiting 7–8 clients daily on foot, developing long-term relationships and earning commissions.
At 23, Mr. Anil Jain founded Gangwal Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. with an initial investment of ₹2 lakh. He grew it through trust & smart financial planning.
In the early 1990s, Anil co-founded SA Chemicals with two friends (each investing ₹2 lakh), operating from his residence.
In 2021, Mr. Jain transferred all manufacturing operations to Gangwal Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Jain belongs to a respected Potdar family from Bundi, Rajasthan, carrying forward a heritage of responsibility into healthcare innovation.
With humble beginnings and strong ethics, he built three successful companies across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmeceutical sectors.
